Simon Wilby Develops Smart Laptop Juice

The maximum number of juice hours that can be enjoyed by owners of laptops today is 6 to 8 hours. Yet 6 to 8 hours does not account for unforeseen circumstances like being stuck in an airport indefinitely, or the lack of a wall-socket for miles around. That seems to run counter to the function of laptops, which were created for people on-the-go.

As a businessman who often requires more than 8 hours of computer time, Simon Wilby understands this problem and saw this as an opportunity. How to develop laptop batteries while keeping in mind that laptop makers manufacture laptops and batteries as a package is a challenge, especially since laptop makers have developed niche markets of their own. As an inventor who seeks to make technology work better, Simon Wilby created the perfect solution to this problem: “The Smart Juice.”

Simon Wilby, currently CEO of The Smart Power, Inc. took his idea for solar-powered batteries for cell phones called “The Smart One” one step further when he developed the same idea for laptops. The Smart Juice is a bunch of solar panels that can be retrofitted at the back of laptop screens connected to a power port by microscopic wires. With The Smart Juice, Simon Wilby hopes to maximize all the possibilities for mobility of laptops.
